Today is the International Day of Older Persons.

Today is the International Day of Older Persons.
In 1990, the United Nations designated October 1 as the International Day of Older Persons. In Korea, since it coincides with Armed Forces Day, October 2 has been observed as “Senior Citizens’ Day.”
In the agrarian era, older people were symbols of wisdom and respect. Today, however, the perception has changed. In fact, 93.4% of adults aged 50–80 report experiencing age discrimination, which is linked to higher rates of depression and chronic illness (JAMA Network Open, 2022).
At PROMEDIUS, we seek to redefine aging — not as inevitable decline, but as Healthy Aging that opens new possibilities. We believe that if AI can detect the early signals of metabolic diseases, humanity can look forward to a brighter future.
Until the day aging is once again a symbol of wisdom,
PROMEDIUS will continue to pursue Healthy Aging through AI without pause.
