For this episode of our relay interview series, we shine the spotlight on Jillie Choi from the marketing team! About a year ago, Jillie made the bold decision to transition from a major pharmaceutical company to a healthcare AI startup. How has her journey unfolded since then?

Q: It’s already been a year since you joined. How do you feel compared to when you first started?

A: I’ve realized just how important continuous learning is.(Seriously!) The pharmaceutical industry tends to be quite conservative, leaving little room for challenges. In contrast, AI evolves rapidly, and the dynamic nature of a healthcare startup really appealed to me—so I took the leap and joined Promedius a year ago.

Now, I primarily handle clinical marketing in Southeast Asia and Australia, collaborating with doctors, advisory boards, and external partners. While leveraging my background in pharmaceuticals and my major, I’m also expanding my knowledge in AI, medical devices, and the broader biotech ecosystem. I made this move because I feared stagnation, and it has exceeded my expectations—every day brings a new experience.

The work culture here is also highly autonomous, allowing me to truly enjoy my evenings—cooking, walking my dog, and maintaining a healthy work-life balance.

Jillie describes Promedius as a “new opportunity.” Beyond her defined role, she has the chance to take on challenges, learn what she always wanted to, and grow alongside her colleagues. We can’t wait to see how she continues to thrive!
