This episode features Hongjae Kim, our Development Lead, who oversees all aspects of software development. We had the chance to dive into his day-to-day work and the pivotal role his team plays in building our products.

Q: Six months into your role, what does a typical day look like for a Development Lead?

A: Every day is busy! (laughs) I analyze requests from various teams, set milestones, and review incoming tasks after checking the backlog and scheduling. I also manage source code, monitor CI/CD pipelines, and occasionally host seminars for the team. When I first joined, the team felt like a desert—barren and disconnected. But through ongoing conversations and fostering collaboration, we’ve created an environment focused on writing efficient code. We’ve blurred the lines between backend and frontend responsibilities, enabling team members to cover for one another seamlessly. Now, the team operates cohesively, with a shared sense of pride: "If we can’t do it, no one can." Thanks to this spirit, our current PoC is progressing smoothly, just as we envisioned.

Hongjae describes PROMEDIUS as a place "on the verge of becoming professional." Drawing on 19 years of experience, he likens the team’s journey to working together on an unfinished product, striving to perfect it.
