🔎 PROMEDIUS Relay Interview Episode 34. The Translator of Regulations – RAQA Manager📄
In medical AI software, regulatory approval is a must-have for any sale. As PROMEDIUS gears up for domestic launches and global expansion, we’re welcoming key talent to grow with us. This week’s relay interview features Song-A Choi from our RAQA team.
Q. You’ve been here for a month now (cue applause👏) !
What does a day in the life of a RAQA Manager at PROMEDIUS look like?
A. It’s been great!😊 Our RAQA team mainly supports domestic and international regulatory approvals and manages related documentation. Recently, I’ve been improving our QMS (Quality Management System) documents. My daily routine includes regularly checking the MFDS (Ministry of Food and Drug Safety) and Ministry of Health and Welfare websites for updates on medical device regulations and software medical device guidelines. With the revised “Digital Medical Product Act” this year, there’s been a lot to keep up with. Our team is meticulous, which makes it easy to adapt and learn from each other. The friendly atmosphere during the interview convinced me to join, and I love that we use “-nim” instead of job titles—it’s refreshing to work in such a flat, respectful culture. My immediate goal is to make our products available in multiple countries. Especially for new launches, I want to be involved from start to finish in the regulatory process.
When asked to describe PROMEDIUS in one word, Song-A chose “trust.” She says the autonomy and responsibility she sees in the team build a deep trust between the company and its people. We hope this strong internal bond will grow into even greater trust with our customers worldwide.
For the next interview, Song-A has passed the baton to Kyu-Hyang Chae from the Development team—stay tuned! ✨
