Today, we continue our special interview with CEO Hyunjin Bae. In Part 1, we heard about the daily life of a CEO leading a medical AI software company. This time, we explored the journey—from how PROMEDIUS began to the future he hopes to create.

Q. What do you see as the starting point and destination for PROMEDIUS?

A. I’ve shared the story of how PROMEDIUS started many times. It all began with a desire to bring the technologies developed at Asan Medical Center out into the world. I had strong faith in our researchers. Since we spun off from a lab, I was more like a 'lab head' at first.

As the company grew, I began to feel the weight of my role as a CEO. My hope is for PROMEDIUS to become a trusted medical AI company—both inside and out. Trust is something you build through consistent, principled actions. That’s why I believe building trust not just with external customers, but within the organization through open communication, is essential.

Recently, I’ve been joining internal group activities and having frequent 1:1 meetings with division and team leaders to deepen that communication.

One of our strengths is our youthful spirit❤️‍🔥. Our passionate team members are constantly trying things no one else has done before. I hope we can continue to share the excitement and pride that come from being the first to take on new challenges.

My goal is to build a company where people trust and rely on our products, and where every team member feels proud to work.
