This week’s relay interview features Dick, Global Business Director from the GBD team. As the only foreign member of Promedius, Dick works between China and Korea, connecting the company with global markets. With experience at leading international medical software companies, he is building new opportunities that link Promedius to the world.

Q. What is it like working at a Korean company?

A. I enjoy learning about new cultures. Every country is different, and in Korea, the hardworking🔥, passionate pace of work allows for both efficiency and effectiveness.

Dick focuses on identifying new business opportunities at a global level — not only in the medical device field, but also through collaborations with PACS and other software companies. He recently secured a major partnership, thanks to strong support from the headquarters.

While in China, he mostly works from home. His schedule is flexible due to frequent overseas meetings — sometimes video calls with Europe in the early morning, and phone meetings with the U.S. in the late afternoon. After work, he spends time with his family, often going fishing with his daughter.

With over 12 years of experience as a marketer, Dick came to realize that business development skills are essential for great marketing. He hopes to continue developing his negotiation abilities and contribute to Promedius' global competitiveness.

When asked what Promedius means to him, Dick answered:

“Protect the people or the city in the lives.”
