This week’s spotlight is on Hyunsuk Kim, Head of Product and Product Manager at Promedius. Hyunsuk plays a key role in managing the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)—which spans everything from planning and design to development, testing, deployment, and maintenance. We caught up with him to hear about his current focus, both domestically and with an eye toward global expansion.

Q: It’s been two months since the product received domestic regulatory approval. How are things going these days?

A. Now I feel like I’m truly stepping into the role of a PM. Launching a product isn’t the end—it’s the beginning of a continuous process. The first year post-launch is especially critical, so we’re refining the product to better meet customer needs. At the same time, I’m focusing on the technical documentation required for international regulatory submissions, coordinating closely with relevant departments.

I recently started an English conversation course, supported by the company, because I believe my own growth is key to making our product globally competitive. Coming from a mid-sized company to a startup, I’ve learned so much. I’ve gained a broader understanding of other roles and a wider scope of responsibility. As Head of Product, I’m working to build a system where everyone aligns, communicates, and shares knowledge transparently.

Hyunsuk describes PROMEDIUS as his “first real company”—the first place where he’s experienced what it’s like to build something from the ground up, like laying the foundation beam by beam. We’re excited to see how Promedius continues to grow—deliberately and steadily—under his leadership.
