For our 18th Relay Interview, we’re celebrating a very special milestone—Hyeonseok Kang’s 5th work anniversary at Promedius!

Hyeonseok joined us right after graduation and has grown into a skilled full-stack developer, starting with back-end, moving to front-end, and now embracing both. We asked him to reflect on what these five years have meant.

Q : What does your five-year journey at PROMEDIUS mean to you?

A : A time of learning, I’d say. I enjoy picking up something new and putting it into action. Since we were a young startup, I had many opportunities to try things firsthand. I worked on different products, switched languages, and explored new ideas with great teammates. Recently, I even went on-site in Busan for an installation—something not many developers get to do. It was a chance to communicate directly with users and understand their needs.

These days, I’ve been learning from our team lead, Hongjae Kim, whose 20+ years of experience are incredibly insightful. I hope that as the company grows steadily, the products I help build will generate stable revenue and contribute to a more robust development environment.

To Hyeonseok, PROMEDIUS is a place that "nurtures growth."

His first job has become a place where he’s built a strong foundation, gained rare experiences, and grown into a developer with both depth and breadth.
