Our medical AI software Osteo Signal, designed to assist in osteoporosis diagnosis, is now being installed in hospitals across Korea. Behind the smooth operation of these systems, the role of developers is critical. This week’s relay interview features a strong new addition to our development team, Kyu-Hyang Chae, who joined us just ahead of the domestic product launch.

Q. You’ve been here for two months, and we hear you’ve been busy! What does a developer do at PROMEDIUS?

A. In one word—development! (laughs) At PROMEDIUS, we don’t strictly divide developers into front-end and back-end roles. We discuss tasks together and each person takes responsibility for their part. When something is challenging, we help one another. Recently, I’ve been working on developing the Osteo Signal license management program. As hospital adoption expands, having a separate program enhances both stability and security. My past experience in hospital program development and PACS integration has been a great foundation.

This is my seventh year as a developer, and I still have so many challenges I want to take on—that’s why I joined PROMEDIUS. I was impressed by how sophisticated and high-quality the company’s products are. The guidance I receive from my team lead has been invaluable, and the opportunities to go on-site and gain hands-on experience are exactly what I was looking for. I’m truly enjoying my work here, and I want to keep learning and growing.
