🔎PROMEDIUS Relay Interview Epi 32. A CEO Who Grows the Company🏢

This week’s relay interview features Hyun-jin Bae, CEO of PROMEDIUS. Now in its 6th year, what does a medical AI software CEO actually do? We talked to Hyun-jin about his daily life and the future he envisions.

Q. You resumed the role of CEO this April. What does your typical day look like?

A. Every day is different. A CEO manages both human and physical resources and sets the direction of the business. Lately, I’ve been focused on fundraising and figuring out how to make our products loved by users.

Last year, we launched CT:MQ, and this year, Osteo Signal—both moments that made me feel our growth. As we’ve grown, we hired more experts and reorganized our structure into four divisions: Research, Product, Business, and Operations. We also formed the CEO Office, which has helped us make better decisions.

It’s not easy to bring people with different perspectives together in one direction, but I try to create a culture of respect and collaboration. I also keep an eye on industry trends and think about what technologies to adopt. I believe my role is to prepare for the future and lead the company in the right direction—and that’s why I try to lead by example.

Outside of work, I spend time with my family. Since I often work late, I try to take care of the kids in the mornings or on weekends so I can stay present at home.

Hyun-jin said PROMEDIUS once felt like a “baby,” but now feels more like a “middle schooler.” It has grown a lot, but still needs careful nurturing to earn stable trust from the market. What kind of future will a growing PROMEDIUS create? Stay tuned for part 2 of the CEO interview next week! ✨
