PROMEDIUS, an AI company focused on aging and metabolic diseases,
has been selected for the Scale-up TIPS program by the Ministry of SMEs and Startups of Korea.

Over the next three years, PROMEDIUS will receive approximately KRW 1.14 billion (USD 800,000) in R&D funding
to develop an AI platform for aging and metabolic disease prediction and monitoring
based on chest X-ray foundation models, in collaboration with Asan Medical Center.

Through this research, PROMEDIUS aims to build an integrated AI platform
that can predict and monitor not only osteoporosis but also aging-related indicators
such as coronary artery calcium scores and biological age.

As Korea and other developed countries rapidly enter a super-aged society,
aging and metabolic disorders have emerged as major social and economic challenges —
affecting both individual quality of life and national healthcare expenditure.
Conventional health screenings have limitations in detecting asymptomatic high-risk individuals early.

To address this gap, PROMEDIUS is developing AI technology that analyzes chest X-rays —
the most common and cost-effective imaging modality — to predict and monitor aging and metabolic health.
This initiative embodies our mission: Healthy Aging through AI.
